My background and interests, I always feel uncomfortable discussing myself as it seems boastful but if you want to read it, here we go. I am a graduate of Grand Rapids Community College where I completed an associates degree in Applied Science finishing their program in Chemical technology. After leaving Grand Rapids Community College I transferred to Western Michigan University where I completed my credentials for teaching with a major in both Chemistry and Physics.m which was probably a little on the crazy side. A few years ago I completed my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction through Cornerstone University.



I am now in my tenth year of teaching having taught primarily Chemistry and Physics but also some Earth Science, Biology, Astronomy, and Math along the way. I have been a Science Olympiad Coach for the last decade frequently competing at the state level and I am a member of the school improvement committee.



Outside of my professional Career I am an active beekeeper. I maintain around a dozen hives annual mostly for the joy of the process. Since beekeeping requires so much of it, I am an avid woodworker and quite the expert at puttering in the garage.
